Aurochs are hoofed animals resembling bisons.
Details[]
Aurochs are primarily peaceful animals found around Amalur. They do not attack of their own accord, though if you do sneak up behind one, it will unleash a swift kick to the character's head. The Auroch will also attack if the character sneaks around the front of it with a headbutt. These attacks only cause 2-3 points of damage. The Auroch takes 80 points of damage to kill, but is not autotargeted by spells or weapon attacks.

Aurochs will drop certain components when looted, such as serrated scales.
