Cap is a type of armor in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. It uses the head armor slot, similar to the Helms of fighters or the Cowls of mages. Designed for use by rogue-style characters, all caps will have a Finesse requirement to equip them. They always add a bonus to Critical Hit Damage and can have a multitude of other enchantments. All caps provide the following effect:
- +8% Critical Hit Damage
Note: Caps are most often referred to as "hoods". However, some cowls for Sorcery characters are also referred to as "hoods" (House of Ballads Hood and Children of Erathell Hood are two examples), so this can be somewhat confusing. Finesse vs. Sorcery requirements will determine whether the item is a cap or cowl.
Crafting Caps[]
- Main article: Blacksmithing
The Fateless One can craft caps at any Blacksmithing Forge by using a leather headdress and a trim; bindings and grips are optional components. With sufficient skill, mastercrafted caps that offer a boost to experience gained can be crafted.
The Fateless One can also disassemble existing caps for salvage, recovering some of the above-mentioned components.
