Details and Strategies[]

  • Strength in Numbers
    • 180 seconds to kill 40 Brownies. Area of effect weapons such as Chakrams, Staves, or Faeblades perform exceptionally well here. Spells make this even easier.
  • From Parts Unknown
  • Tuatha Vangard
    • Brawl against 3 Tuatha Overlords, 1 Sorcerer, 1 Warrior, and 1 Rogue. Take the sorcerer out first, then duke it out with the others.
  • Warrior Kings
    • 3 Bolgan Thugs, then 2 Bolgan Brutes with 2 Arcane Barghests. Best to stay away from those Bolgans, so ranged attacks and spells do well. Constant dodging required, and Mages should watch out for the Barghests, as they drain mana.
  • Untouchable: Jottun
    • 1 Jottun Runelord. Since the Fateless One cannot be touched in this fight it's best to use ranged attacks/spells, or batter the Jottun with a constant stream of attacks. Rogues can also use Smoke Bomb to assassinate the lone enemy. Reckoning Mode helps as well.
  • Wood for the Fire
  • Sprite Showdown
    • Elemental mayhem, all 3 Sprite Champions are present, plus a handful of regular Sprites. The Fateless One will need to dodge and block constantly to survive. Elemental resistance Potions will make this somewhat easier.
  • Race Against Time: 1
    • 150 seconds to defeat 25 Boggart Zealots, 5 at a time with new ones spawning to replace dead ones. Fire area of effect attacks and spells are most effective.
  • Scavengers
  • Blood And Steel: 1
    • The Fateless One has to fight against 4 waves of brutal melee foes without using skills or magic. Once again ranged weapons are useful, with lots of dodging and blocking needed to survive. Poison weapons do well in whittling down the monters' HP, and reckoning mode can easily clear out a wave. The waves are: 3 Ettin Brutes; 3 Jottun Warriors; 3 Bolgan Brutes; and a final wave of one of each monster. You can use magic before accepting the matchup at the board and still keep the effects for the match, so it might be wise to buff up beforehand.
  • Wrath of the Storm
  • Untouchable: Leanashe
    • This one is tricky, the Fateless One cannot be touched and the 2 Leanashe have ranged attacks. For rogues this can be easily completed by using Smoke Bomb to assassinate one enemy and quickly overwhelm the other. Mages should have no problems either, the summon does well to distract the Leanashe. Warriors will need to be extra careful and dodge often, or alternately take a more defensive approach by standing with shields up, and then using Harpoon during any lull of projectile fire to reel each Leanashe in for a quick disposal by slashing/hammering. Use Reckoning Mode for an easier time with this one.
  • Contagion
  • Race against time: 2
  • From Beyond the Veil
  • Blood and Steel: 2
    • Same as Blood and Steel: 1, except the first 3 waves are of 4 monsters, and the final wave has two of each kind of monster. Reckoning mode is best left for the final wave. To dispose of Bolgans the Fateless One needs to approach and lure them into lowering guard and attacking. You can use magic before accepting the matchup at the board and still keep the effects for the match, so it might be wise to buff up beforehand.
  • Untouchable: Troll
    • Same as the previous untouchable challenges, this time a single Mountain Troll. Best attacked from a range or using magic/traps. Its attacks are easily dodged. Use Reckoning Mode for an easier time with this one.
  • Fae Mania

Notes[]

  • Some of the challenges have additional weapon rewards when completed for the first time.
  • There is NO reward for completing all the challenges.
  • Fights can be repeated for a smaller reward (1/4 of the full gold reward).
  • For Untouchable fights, shielding often and throwing the occasional long-range attack is a viable strategy if you don't mind a slow fight.
  • For Blood and Steel fights, all active abilities will be disabled, whether or not they are construable as "magic" or "sleight-of-hand". However, temporarily-activatable abilities, such as Battle Frenzy, Envenomed Edge, Blade Honing, or Sphere of Protection will be usable if the player has them already running.
  • You can get a few levels at the House of Valor: After you finished all the tasks from the board you can fill your Fate Bar up if you repeat the Race Against Time:1 Challenge and finish the Untouchable: Troll task in Reckoning Mode, you can get Exp this way and on Level 36 it gave roughly 1/20 of a Level.
